How do I know which intercom is right for my building?
QUATRIX will help you work through what systems you currently have in place and what you would like to achieve moving forward. Audio, Video, WiFi/Smartphone connections, keypad entries with pincodes for residents whatever your building would like to achieve we can assist with quotes and building assessments.

What's involved in the installation process?
Intercom installations require building-approved schedule dates, so residents have plenty of notice to be available, the entry panels and distribution systems will be replaced first and the handsets within the units next. Access to all units is required or they wont be connected to the new intercom.

How long does a typical installation take?
This depends on the size of the system, number of entry panels and units etc.
For an average audio or video intercom for an 8-12 unit block with an existing system, this will take 1 & half working days to replace the whole system - entry panel(s), distribution and install new handsets in all units.
Handsets take approximately 30 - 45 minutes to install in each unit.

Can I upgrade an old intercom system?
The entry panel and handsets must be compatible with each other so they generally both have to be replaced to upgrade an intercom. Most existing cabling can be re-used with new equipment on it.
If there are compatible parts, updates can be made to systems if needed, but often repairing is less cost effective than upgrading to newer equipment with more functions.

Do you offer support after installation?
Systems we install have 3 years warranty on parts and 2 years on labour so we will come out and work through any issues that may happen after installation. The supplier of BTicino also guarantee that compatible parts will be available 10 years after they stop manufacturing any parts.
