We involve the customer from the start to finish of the project ensuring all parties are aware of progress, issues, milestones reached, critical paths and achievable completion dates. Our in house project manager has the following training ensuring tried and tested methodology will be used.

To install a state of the art datacomms platform at Ford Motor Company data centre in order to launch ASP and other E-Commerce services.
- Responsibility for full project lifecycle to provide a secure environment to host all European databases and applications within Fords’ own datacentres.
- Installed 100% redundant network with additional remote disaster recovery site utilising dark fibre interconnects.
- Enforced strict Change Control system on the network after completion of phase 2 and successful launch of numerous new applications such as the new Range Rover and Ford centralised accounting and dealer databases.
This role involved liaison with Nokia, Cisco, Siemens and Ford ensuring design approval, lab based functionality tests and full documentation of the network. Migratedlive firewall access network, utilising Nokia IP740s and Cisco content switches, to a policy based routing firewall design.
- Instrumental in implementation of a Design Review Board as part of a wider corporate governance strategy to ensure approval of future changes to implemented designs.
- Cost saving to Ford of approximately £2 million per year.

Ford Motor Company European Trunk Network Upgrade
- Upgraded circuits and transmission equipment (Cisco Stratacom) at 13 core European sites. Voice, IP and legacy connections were all operational and some sites were provided with new routings through changes.
- Provided high level co-ordination as many individual parties, countries and time zones were involved.
- Detailed monitoring of changes as may directly impact on production and sales of Ford cars in multiple countries.

To upgrade existing Cable and Wireless network with combination of Nortel TN 64X, 16X and 4X multiplexers, MOR+ and DWDM transmission equipment.
Responsibilities:
To agree the installation and commissioning dates for individual rings within new build for South West of England. Populate project plans for base lining. Ensure all allocations and documentation are received from CWC. Provide CWC regional project manager with progress and issues reports for builds. Monitor progress against plan. Highlight and resolve issues within Nortel that prevent scheduled rollout of network. Investigate any site issues that arise within region. Special Projects: Assessment of change request and DC power provision processes, highlighting inefficiencies and recommending improvements.

To provide a secure SDH fibre optic network for Budapest business district using OTIAN single fibre management system.
Responsibilities:
Scheduling and management of sub-contractors. Liaising with Hungarian Telecom to ensure compliance with contractual requirements for acceptance of SDH network. Day to day running of Pirelli office. Compiling documentation, and handover of network to Hungarian Telecom.
